Could you tell me if David Geekie was related to Alexander Geekie b. abt. 1813 in Monifieth? If so, Alexander married Mary Herd abt. 1834 and had at least 7 children that I know of.

Thank you.

Hi Helen,

Although I'm fairly new to this, we probably need to do a bit of collaboration.

Clara Geekie (Fotheringham) was my 3rd Great Grandmother and David Perks/Joe Perks were both 2nd Cousins. Joe and possibly David, emigrated to Hamilton, Ontario (in the 50's I think). Although Joe is now dead (I seem to remember) he lived at (again from memory) 200 Holmwood (?) Avenue, Hamilton Ontario.

My 2nd Cousin Eddie (Manson) Watson, has done a lot of research on the Geekie/Fotheringham Manson/Perks history, which I have on my computer but still have to upload.

Regards

PS. Did Dave Perks ever get back in touch with you and are you able to track him down from 2002.

Hi Dave,

I'm not sure if you still check these message boards.

Clara Geekie was my Great Grandmother (Clara and Archibald Fotheringham's daughter Williamina, was my grandmother). If you want to e-mail me on FMcLMailbox@aol.com, I can send you some photographs from Hill Street, Dundee around the 1920's with my father, his bother Archie and their neighbours/cousins the Perks! I also have a family tree linking the Fotheringhams, the Geekies, the McLarens and the Perks.

I met Joe Perks, who emigrated to Canada,(Ontario) and have also once met his brother David who also emigrated.

Regards
