I'm trying to connect John Parliman Gee and my great grandmother Jennie Eudora Gee John was b 11 Dec 1791 in Wallkil, Ulster, NY. John married 21 Apr 1816 to Betsy Willoughby who was born in 1798 in Conn. Their children were: Lucy Ann, Jane E., Christopher Willoughby, William Henry, Catherine, John Franklin, F. Augustus, and George D. All the children were born in Cortland Co, NY Betsy died in Cortland on July 7 1872 and was buried there but her body was moved to Ashtabula Co, Ohio. John died Jul 27 1868. They are now both buried on a Gee family plot in Kellogsville/ Monroe Center Cemetery in Ashtabula, OH. Their son William Henry Gee is also buried on the plot along with his wife Ann Eliza. Their are several empty sections on the plot and then Jennie Eudora Gee is buried along with her husbamd Albert Washington Morse. Jennie was born in Virgil, Cortland, NY 19 Jun 1855. She died 8 Aug 1928 in Monroe Center, OH. I know she had a brother Fred who is buried elsewhere in the same cemetery. If anyone could help me make the connection I would be grateful.

Kathy Wolf: I noticed on the board that you are researching the John Parliaman Gee family and also the Betz family in Ohio. I am a Gee from that line and my grandfather, Charles Gee, married Nina Betz. I would like to compare notes if you are interested. Please e-mail me at csnessan@aol.com. Thanks. Cathy Gee Nessan

i have to wonder if we have strings somewhere that tie togeather somehow? my grandfather was Garvin Gee who married Eunice Betts, amazing how close the last names are,as far as i can tell they were from east TX and TN. ????

The name John Parliman Gee rings a bell, my mother is our family Geneaologist, I will run it by her.
The Frye family is my husbans's side, and to the best of my knowledge it has been spelled F-R-Y-E. There is always the possibility of a spelling change, but as my husband is not in contact with the Frye side, I don't know for sure.
Thanks for the reply, I will let my mother know.

Darlene: My Gee line comes from England to Cortland County New York, to Kentucky, to Indiana, to Michigan. My Betz line comes from Germany to Ohio to Indiana, then my grandmother came to Michigan. I suppose some siblings could have gone to Tennessee or Texas. I do not have a Garvin Gee listed anywhere. Send other names back farther to check. Cathy

Darlene: I am sorry but I do not have any of those names in my records. I know that my Betz family came from Germany, not England. I have never known any of them to be in Texas. Sorry I could not be of more help. I will keep your e-mail in case anything ever comes up. Cathy
