In the last message, I spelled the middle names wrong. It is Dewey...instead of Dewey. Sorry for that. And my grandfather also had a daughter, Debra Geddings and her married name was Lucas. She died in 1984. Thank you so much and sorry about the confusion.

Hey,

I read your email regarding Fred D. Geddings. I think we are related.

Are you a daughter of Alan or Barry Geddings?

My father is Sam Geddings, brother to your grandfather, Fred Geddings. I remember Alan and Barry Geddings from our many trips fishing at Santee.

My name is Teresa Quick, used to be Geddings as I married in 1989 and live in Florida.

Write to me if any of this makes sense to you and let me know your relation to my "Uncle Fred".

Thanks,
Teresa

Hi!

Fred D. Geddings was my grandfather and I am the daughter of Alan D. Geddings.

I was young when we moved from South Carolina, and I vaguely remember your father. But I do remember the many many fishing trips out to Santee.

We live in North Carolina now and since my Grandfather passed away, we do not talk to any other Geddings very much.

I would love to hear more about you and your family!

Thanks,
Lisa

Hi, I do not know if we are related or not. I can remember as a child going to see a relative of my dad's named Dewey. My dad was Russell Jackson Geddings 1900-1972. I know he had a brother named Sidney and maybe Fred. They lived in Sumter/Wedgefield area. I know there are alot of Geddings down there but not sure how they all fit. I wish I could find a family tree but I was 21 when Daddy died and I didn't know to find that information. My Mother died in 1998 so I don't have anyone to ask. Maybe I can search and find out the family tree through this site. Good luck with your family search.
