That book is where we got all our info back to 1660. Are you trying to go back further? I would love to help but I have not been able to get back any further. I do know that the original Paul Geddes in Scotland was from Nairn which is on the S of the Moray Firth in the Highlands. Could be more Norse or Viking. Thier shield was the Ged which was the heads of fish (Ged + Fish) and they are a sept of the Gordon Clan. Keep in touch, I will share anything I have that will help. My direct e-mail is ejones4008@aol.com and I am in Las Vegas, NV.

Or are you looking to fill out information on the various lines connected to Paul Geddes decentents?
Like McGuire, Easton, Burgess, Pott, Miley, Taylor, Maxfield?

I am researching from Paul born 1660 Ireland back to Scotland with the hope of connection to Margaret Campbell Geddes about1200's. or even further back I already have one branch back to Lord and Lady De Bellecombe of France and even further back to Simon Sanguine about 1300 France.

Then I am researching forward and verifying relatives of DePew, Pew, De Puy, Hardman, Baker, Slay, Sizemore, Downs,Geddes Barnes and Barnes Geddys. For Geddes I have found some discrepancies between Geddes and Geddis. I have also been able to link children that were not known in full.

I just need the parents of Paul to move on it driving me batty.

Wow, that would be fantastic if you can go back that far. I assume you have looked a church /parish), town records? I have always wanted to keep going back, but have be stalled at Paul 1660 to 1720 just like you.

I don't recognize any of the forward names so I am wondering how we are connected? I have not reserached any Geddis vs Geddes.. I do know that Paul Geddes the Grandson fought in the Revolutionary War and most of his family lived around Dauphine, Franklin County, Northumberland and Cumberland County, PA. We are decendents of his brother Samuel Geddes. I also know that several decendents of Paul (the grandson) are members of the DAR having proved thier ancestry.
