My husband, Steven Garry Gear, born 2 February 1971. Son of Robert Douglas Gear (1944) and Nicki Gail Haas (1945). Robert is the son of Leland C Gear (1911 - 1991) (the C stands for nothing but that was his middle name) and Sharlene Gannon. Leland is the son of Carre C Gear (1888- 1984) and Blanche (?)(1887 - ?). Carre is the son of Alvin Benjamin Gear (1842 - 1912) and Margaret Wetzel (1851 - 1907). Alvin is the son of Jonas Gear (1919 - 1896) and Sarah Holcomb (1820 - 1901). If you look at my tree which is Vocke Family Tree 3 I have traced his family back to Walter Geer (1450 - 1480 in Heavitree,Devon, England). I was looking for stories, photos and any other information that you or anyone may have. I believe that we have photos of Carre and down but not before. I know that Leland had one brother, Eugene, and one sister, Arline. I am pretty confused on Alvin's children but I know that he had about 8 or more children. I am trying to get Birth Certificates on people and when I am able to afford it (I am trying to do one per paycheck which will take awhile) then I can let you know. I am trying to clean up my tree and make it accurate. Thanks for any help that you may be able to offer! It is greatly appreciated! Theresa Gear

I see it has been a while since you posted this, my mother, Dolores Gear, is the main one doing the searching, I try and help her when I can...I am her daughter. I don't know that she has responded to your reply, she is behind on a lot of stuff it looks like, and she is trying to straighten it out. I will inform her that you have some info you would like to share so she can contact you or see if she wants me to work on that as a contributor. Thank you for responding to her inquires!
