I am trying to find ancestors of a William Geans, b. Abt 1865 in either TN or NC or AL, married to first name Parlee or Paralee?
I've found William after he moved to ARkansas, but nothing before.

I've hit a dead end with this family.

Mr. Craven:

I happened to come across this site and saw your message posted July 2, 2002. I may be able to help in your search for member of the Geans family. Dennis Geans is my great-grandfather. According to my grandmother, he was born in Tennessee and moved in the shady Grove settlement near Stugart Ark. The last name of Geans is extreemly unusual, especialy with that spelling. To this day, there are still a number of my family members, last name Geans, that are still in Stutgart, and Little Rock. My mother has information on the Geans family and did run across a William Geans in our family history. I told her about your search, she is eager to help. However, she is not linked to the net, as of yet. Please give me a call at (614) 476-8534 and I can put you in touch with her. I'm sure this is the same family, the information matches are very close based on what I read from your message.

I am new to this, but am very interested in what you know about the Geans. I know that we now have a lot of family in Indiana and I do have some information about relatives. If I could possibly call you at the number that you listed, I would appreciate it. Please let me know if that would be ok. Thank you. Lisa Geans

I too would like to know about this William Geans. I am researching JEANS in any spelling. Maybe we can connect some of these families.

Hi Russ, My name is Tina. Bill Geans (William) was my Grandfather. I am the Daughter of Mary Ann Melton (Geans).
I have had no luck as well searching this family. I remember my Mother talking of the Craven's, but I was very young. Please reply if you get this and maybe we can put some clues together. Thanks, Tina Musgrave

I just happened upon this site by browsing and when I saw you mentioned Stuttgart.......I was thinking maybe they're from the same family. My grandfather's name was Earnest Geans, I don't know what his father's name was, but I know my grandfather had brother's named Sam, T, and Sun (I can't recall they're real names)

I'm sorry I'm just now getting your meesage. I changed servers and I just happen to check my old server for messages and I found yours. We have a connection! My grandmother told me about a cousin who they called T Geans. His real name was Theo Geans. T Geans had about 9 sons. About 18 years ago, my grandmother received a letter telling her that one of our relatives had died they called him Sun man Geans. Sounds like were talking about the same people. They all lived in Stugartt.

He had 12 children, 6 are still alive from ages 56-76. If anyone wants to contact me my e-mail is bhg03@sbcglobal.net. I would like to hear more about William Geans.

Hey, man it's been a while since I checked this, but yes it sounds like my family. What is your grandmother's name and where do you all live?
