Isn't your William Geans the son of Wiley F. Gean? - I have a John William Gean, born 1866 in TN - child of Wiley Fletcher Gean & Martha Strickland - he appears on the 1900 census of Randolph Co., AR, and his wife is listed as Porolee/Parolee/Paralee (can't exactly make out the o's and a's). They were from Wayne Co., TN - I don't have them in 1870, but they do appear there for the 1850, 1860 & 1880 census.

Hello
Although I haven't seen him in 2 years, my husbands name is Elgin Geans. And it is really sad to say I was married to him for 35/36 years and I new hardly anything about his family background. He has 1 brother and 5 sisters and most live in Arizona now, but I believe they moved here from Texas.

My father's name was William Geans and he lived in Florence, Alabama. Most of his family that I know about is from Waterloo, Al. He was one of nine children. His father was Willard Geans and mother was Belle Marie Bennett Geans. Willard's parents were John Geans and Ada Young Geans. I am just getting started with this genealogy stuff so any information you can share is very much appreciated.

Willard was my great grandma's brother (Ruby Mae). Their parents John and Ada (young) Geans as you know. I haven't found much on John, however, I think I have found Ada's parents (Devenport Young and Catherine Richards). I am new to this as well, but the dates of Devenport and Catherine seem to correspond to Young and Geans family trees.

I am looking for information on Wiley Jeans/Geans/Jaynes. He was born around 1802 in North Carolina and married a Sarah McDoniel. They resided mostly in Tennessee. If he is connected to anyone here, please let me know.
