My husband's family has a Walter Reed GEAKE b abt 1803-4 in South Petherwin Cornwall.

Parents were Richard GEAKE & Elizabeth REED.

My husband is descended from Walter's elder brother John b 1791 South Petherwin and his 2nd marriage to Mary BAKER which took place in Egloskerry in 1837.

Do you think there might be a connection??

Having read a message from Patricia re family of Walter Geake, I wonder about the relationship to Walter Geake (1833-1896), my great grandfather who migrated to Canada, had a family of 14,many of whom moved to the US, including my grandfather, James. My brother and I are visiting Cornwall and Devon March 24-April 2, 2003 and would love to visit the town from which he came, but we have so far been unable to discover where that was. Perhaps someone might know which town and let us know. Thanks from Beverly Geake Muto.
