looking for anyone with my family surname to contact me. I live in Australia and there are not many Geaghan's here. I have some history on my line but would like to link up with others.

Meeting other Geaghans

I know my family has lived in Bangor, Maine for at least the last four generations. My grandfather (Frank Geaghan) had two wives and eighteen children. My father (John Geaghan) had one wife and eleven children. I have one wife and one child. I guess the next generation will probably adopt rather than have children given the present trend.

Hi Chris,
nice to see a mesage posted. My Geaghan family line came out to Australia in 1841. I am the 4th generation in Aus. William Geaghan came from a place called Kinvannah Co Galway, Ireland. How much do you know about where your Geaghans came from. Apparently it's not that common a name. Email me sometime

Chris,
I'm wondering if we have a connection. I have a Margaret Geaghan marrying Albert Benoit (Bennett). They had two children, Albert and Walter. They lived in Westbrook, ME.
Thanks

Hello
I too am in Australia and I've just started filling in some gaps on our Geaghan side of our family tree. My maternal grandfather was William T Geaghan (b.1904), he was the son of William James Geaghan (b. 1872) and Ellen Ballard (b.1882), and grandson of William Thomas and Kate. Would love to know if we are related and to fill in more gaps if you have info.
