Looking for Gayde's all over the world

Looking for Gayde's all over the world

Hello,
I'm new with intensive research for family members. Maybe someone did such research before and could share his/her results with me?
A few years ago I had e-mails with Pamela Gayde (who was about to mary) and William F Gayde (if I remember right).
I lost their e-mail-address, and so I could not mail them again.
As I live near to Pinache (where most Gayde's came from) I should be able to find information from my relatives there, if you need something.
I hope to hear soon from some Gayde! And some day our history will be recoverd!

Sincerly
Andreas Gayde, Boeblingen, Germany

my mother's father, George Gaide, was born in this country but his father , also George Gaide, was born in Germany about 1835 but nothing more is known. Greatgrandfather left my grandfather and his sister with The Children's Aid Society in New York City in 1898, and they were sent to Iowa as orphans. My mother, the late Elsie Gaide Corey, and I have spent time trying to find the actual roots, meeting (by email & letter) other Gaides but without a firm connection. I know of the Waldensian connection, the Gaidou-Gayde-Gaide name evolution, but I still feel disconnected. brother thomas

I would like to find more about your George Gaides. My Grandpa was named George Gaides. I don't know if there is any type of relation.
Thanks,
Kathy Durrance

My grandfather was George Gaide, no "s"; an older spelling was Gayde. as far as I know, he had only two kids, my mother and my uncle, George Lyle, who married my Aunt Evelyn. what became of my cousins, I don't know. br thomas

Hello Andreas,

It is Pamela (Gayde) Price again. I just read a note you posted that said you had lost my e-mail address so I wanted to send it to you again.

You also mentioned a Waldenser book that you have that lists some names. I was wondering if you would see if my Great-grandfather was listed by any chance. His name is Franz Julius Gayde and, as best we can tell, he was born in a village called Bärental. We are not sure where, exactly, that is located except that it is in Schwartzwaldkreis. Some Gayde's we met in Neuhengstett spoke with their pastor who seemed to think it was near Neubärental, but we are certainly not sure. Anyway, if you could see what you might be able to find with that name (he married a Johanna Talmon), I would greatly appreciate it.

My e-mail address is: atcpam@aol.com
Hope all is well with you!

His grave is in Pforzheim, Germany at Kriegsgräberstätte Feld 91 Grab 87.

I am posting this message for Pamela Price. or anyone who can help me. Ms Price, I am hoping your email is still active. I have important information concerning Franz Julius GAYDE and Johanna TALMON. I have several personal effects of their son, Richard Adolf Gayde, born 1905, Germany. I am trying to contact Mr. Richard Gayde's family, so I may return these valuable items to them. If you have any information, please let me know. Many Thanks to all for your time. B. Haunert
