I am trying to track down information on my fathers side of the family with great difficulty. My great-grandfathers name was Emilio Gautier and he married Aurora Rentas. As far as I know they only had two children: Rafael Gautier Rentas who married a woman by the name of Tere (they resided in NY for several years before moving back to P.R.) and my grandfather Jose Emilio Gautier Rentas who was born 6/2/1921. He married Daisy Leon Rodriguez. My grandparents lived in Puerto Rico all their lives. If anyone has any information on any of these people I would greatly appreciated it!

As a child I was always told that we were distant relatives of Jose Gautier Benitez- the famous Puerto Rican poet and also of the husband of Felisa Rincon de Gautier- the first woman Mayor of San Juan. I would really like to be able to prove or disprove this.
