Does anyone know of this family? Carmelo CAMILLERI (born 17 July 1893 in Malta) married Dolores GAUCI (born 15 March 1908 in Hamrun, Malta) in the 1930s in Australia. Carmelo’s parents were Antonio CAMILLERI and Teresia VELLA. Dolores’ parents were Paolo GAUCI and Maria Antonia DIMECH, both born in Vittoria, Gozo. Carmelo came to Australia in about 1920, we think. I’m enquiring on behalf of a descendant who would love to know more about her heritage. Thanks.

Hi there. My name is Debra Gauci. My father Carmelo Gauci(Charlie) came to Toronto from Malta in 1951. His mother was Guiseppa (Josie)Gauci, married Paul Mizzi around 1932. He has Muscat, Camelleri and Cachia in his family. Cousins are Frances,(she married Terry and moved to England) John and George(Camilleri?) He also has cousins John, Louisa< Annie Muscat. Paul Camilleri and Paul Cachia (he lived in Rabat)are also cousins. My father was born in Valetta but lived in Hamrun. Their neighbours were the Borgs. There is also an uncle my father never met who lived in New Zealand. My father went to England in 1950 and stayed with Frank and Terry cousins in Newcastle. He stayed for 3 months. My father came to Canada with Paul DeBono. His buddies when he first came to Canada Toronto were Paul, Laurie, Putney and Francicia. St Paul's Church in the Junction is where my Dad took my brother and I to have pastizzi. I was christened there and had my first communion there. If any one knows any back ground on my Grandparents I'd love to find some relatives. Where are you? Email me at debtrelinski@hotmail.com Thanks from Debbie Gauci
