I have recently found an old book entitled "Bible Readings". The book contains a great deal of handwritten information on the Gauch family history/genealogy. I am attempting to find the family it belongs to.
Is anyone related to Elinor Viola Gauch or Katherine Schier Gauch? If you have other names you would like me to see if they are listed in the book, email them to me and I will check.

Re: Gauch Family information
Where was this Bibile found? Are there listings for Gauch's from the Belleville, Il. area? My line of GAuch's emigrated from Germany in the 1830's to Conn., then westward to Il.
My mother's maiden name was Gauch.

Re: Gauch Family information
The bible was purchased at an antique shop/flea market in Springdale, AR. It doesn't list many locations, but does have many names. If you would like to provide any names you have, I would be happy to check them for you.

Re: Gauch Family information
A couple of the names match. I can't tell if it is a direct match or not, but it may be. I would like to send you the bible. If it isn't your direct family, you may be able to figure out how (if) it does fit in.

Re: Gauch Family information
Unfortuntely I don't think these are any of my line of Gauch's the dates are too late in the 19th century and none that I can think of stayed in the N.Y. area. The Gauch name is very famous in the Palatinate as there was a famous poet and writer who gained much fame in the Palatinate. This line is no relation to mine either. My Gauch's immigrated in 1833-1834 and came through Conn., Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana to Illinois. They hwere a large group as my ancestor's first wife died and he remairred and had several children by the second wife.
thanks for the information.
Best regrads,
AllanJ
