I have a Margaretha Gaubatz, b. 18 Feb. 1827, parents Johann Adam Gaubatz b, 1802, and Anna Margaretha Juenger.
Parents and 3 children immigrated from Dietzenbach, Hessen, Germany, in 1833, and settled in St. Clair Co., Illinois.
Good luck!

I have a great great great grandmother by the name of Susana Margaretha Gaubatz who was married to Christian Beckman. The immagrated to St.Clair Co. in 1841 from Darmstadt Germany with the Valintine Karl (Charles) Deichmann family. Susanna was born 1807. Christian and Susanna are buried on the Deichmann farm in Shumway, Effingham county Illinois. Their graves are unmarked. There seem to be a relationship here perhaps.
