I am trying to find any information about Phillip Gassman (b.~1801, Baden, Germany) and family. He married Catherine (no known last name, no marriage date or location, but possibly Maryland). She was from Wurtemburg, Germany, born about 1813.

First child, SOPHIA, was born in MD about 1832. Their next child, HENRY, was born in Ohio, possibly settled in Cass Township, Hancock County by this time (1837). The rest of their children were born in Cass Township: CATHARINE (1840), WILLIAM (1841), GEORGE (1844), CAROLINE (1847), PHILLIP, Jr. (1848), ELIZABETH (1851), AMANDA (1853), twins ALBERT & ADALINE (1856), and JOSEPH (1860).

I know that Sophia Gassman married David Snyder in 1853 (Hancock Co.). This is my direct ancestor.

I also know that William married A. Mary ____ from the 1880 census in Rush, Shiawassee Co. MI. William and George went to MI together.

I know Joseph was still living with his parents during the time of the 1880 census (Cass Twp., Hancock Co).

I do not know anything about any of the other children, other than some death dates. Does anyone recognize any of these names from their family genealogy? Please contact me or respond if so.
