I also have Gaskins ancestry in southern GA! My maternal grandmother was Myrtle Lee Gaskins, born March 21, 1921, in Tift County, GA. She married my grandfather, Lorenzo Dower McMillan, on Dec. 9, 1941, and they resided in Brookfield, GA, where my grandfather was the postmaster. You will find mention of many Gaskins in the "Record of McMillan and Allied Families" book that was published by Robert Henderson McMillan, Jr. Her ancestors thus far appear to be mainly from Berrien or Tift County, GA follows:

-Parents: Isaac Gaskins, 1891- and Ida Johnnie Hesters, 1888-1968
-Grand-parents: John Hesters, 1855-1900 and Florida A. McNabb, 1855-1910
-Great-grandparents: James McNabb and Susannah B. Carpenter.
