My grandfather many times removed married Sarah Fee in Greene County
Pennsylvania in Feb. 1786. He was born Sept 1st 1761. He named his first son Thomas and his second son born in Bourbon County Kentucky, was named John. Who were his parents? Were they from Virginia or were they from PA.? His wife's people came from Md.They knew Gaskins in Md. I have always thought we originated in Va. but The International Marriage
record says John was English..I think because He was of English descent
that was put down incorrectly.The Revolution had not occurred when he was born, so he was an English citizen even if he was born in the colonies.
