I'm searching for information on William Jasper Newton Gaskins (1871-1933) his mother Elizabeth was born in Alabama about 1854, she married an unknown Gaskins and had William in 1871 She later remarried to a J.B. Leaphott in about 1872 and had 3 more children, Isabella 1873, Minnia 1875, Jessee 1879. On the 1880 Census William Jasper Newton Gaskins is living in Washington County, Georgia and is listed as stepson to JB Leaphott. William went on to marry Clara Brantley (1879-1958)on 21 Dec 1898 in Washington County, Georgia and they had my great grandfather Horace Greely Gaskins Sr. (1899-1974). Update: I've found a death certificate for Elizabeth Leaptrot that says she was born in Houston County, Georgia and her Father's name was Frank Glozier.
