I am looking for information John Garvey who married Bridget Mackin on the 27th of October 1858 at Lower Creggan Roman Catholic Church they had six children, Catherine, Hugh, Patrick, Ellen and John. Also looking for information on John's sisters Mary Garvey who married Patrick Byrnes and his two brothers Patrick J Garvey and Hugh Garvey who both became priests and went to Philadelphia

Hi Thomas

Yes I am trying to find a connection between these families, The family story was that Mary Garvey my GG Grandmother had two brothers who became priests moved to the states and I think that these two priest Patrick J Garvey and Hugh Garvey, I have also found a connetion with this family to your family through these priests, But I am still trying to find out proof how my GG Grandmother fits in Mary Garvey married Patrick Byrnes of Carrive in 1857 and had 6 children Hugh, Patrick, Peter, John, Bernard and Francis.

The story is that four of children Hugh, Peter, Bernard and Franics went to states were there two uncle were, Pareick stayed in Carrive and direct ancestor John Byrnes married Elizabeth Byrnes of umericam in the parish of creggan and eventualy moved to Glasgow via Barrow on Furness.

Hope you understand all that and if you require any other information please contact me.

Regards

Paul
