Wow! This is a long time coming but I have a grandfather Thomas Garvey who died in Chester, PA in the Black plague of 1918. Don't know much if anything about him except when he was born. Would love to see what your info is.

This research would be a shame to simply toss out. Unfortunately, the State of Pennsylvania is a very tough place to obtain genealogy records. Good luck.

NOTE: JOHN GARVEY #A below b. Abt. 1851 might be related to the PATRICK W. GARVEY #B below b. Nov 1854. (See both below.) My gut tells me they are, but I have no proof. All four sons of John GARVEY #A can be found in the cited census records. They are listed as brothers, hence I assume all are sons of John. Furthermore, all of my facts about John GARVEY #A and his son, William GARVEY b. 28 Dec 1887, came from the outstanding GLANNEY/GLENNY database posted on Ancestry.com. Anyone help with a Michael Garvey whom came over from Ireland with 1-3 brothers and dont know about sisters. we were always told came over to new york and at least one stayed in usa. I am not sure if his birthdate was in 1820's or 1830's. Know he married a johanna shea or shaw, it says shea in cencus records for ontario canada. They were married in erie guessing usa. I have not found their marriage, birth or death records. He was my great great Grandfather. His son John Garvey married Alice Taylor in Ontario Canada. Like I said i am trying to find inforamtion on michael Garvey who married a johanna shea in canada cencus reocords. Anyways i have a family tree under John garvey and Alice taylor which was one of Michael and johanna's children. So at rootsweb type in john garvey and alice taylor then go to right hand side click on one for tincanman only shows the dead ones but might help maybe if you want to look at my family tree, I didnt do it a relativve did it. i am one of the living hoping to hear back from you.
