I am glad to hear that we both have Jane Conley as John Garner's wife. I too got her name from "The Garners and Allied Lines" by Lucy Stewart. As I said I do not know the parentage of either John or Jane, which why I asked if you could point me towards the source for his "likely" father (your words) being James Garner (born 1754). Therefore I am a little confused as to how we got from John son of James (b. 1754) to John son of Henry (b. 1716). Can you clear this up for me?
