In my September 16, 2005 posting, the two sons of William Garner (b.1756) should have reflected William Garner (b.1776) and John Garner (b.1779)...and not 1799 for John Garner. As to your proposed upline: (1) Per Thomas Keene's personal deposition, it has been shown that he was born about 1593. (2) As to my own genealogy, I have NOT shown Thomas Keene's parents to be Thomas Keene and Elizabeth Gosnold. As a "gateway" ancestor, Thomas Keene (b. abt.1593) is extremely shaky and inconclusive. The current thinking appears to be that there is not sufficient evidence to link the immigrant, Thomas Keene, to Thomas Keene/Elizabeth Gosnold of Suffolk, England. This Thomas Keene "immigrant" line has been excluded (after full consideration) in recent book publications covering American "gateway" ancestors to royal bloodlines. Yet, another twist has been recently pointed out...see Keene Family Genealogy Forum (Keene-Gosnold of Suffolk Co., England by Elizabeth Clingman, July 29, 2005). Good hunting! Tony Schoonover
