Correcting this very old post about Edwin Robinson Garbutt (b.1862 in Louth, Lincolnshire):
-Edward was an officer in the Salvation Army
-Edward's father was John Robinson Garbutt (b.1836 d.1905); we believe his mother was Anne Ellis (b. 1821)
-m. Susan/Susannah Mourton (b.1863 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire; d. 1896 in Dysart, Scotland)
-they had 2 daughters: Susan Mourton Robinson Garbutt (b.1890 in Darlaston, Staffordshire; m. George Hanft; d.1973 in Irvington, NJ) and Annie Robinson Garbutt (b.1895 in Perth, Scotland; m. Max Morosini; d. 1954 in Irvington, NJ)
-Edwin subsequently m. Edith A. Flatters (b. 1873 in London; d. 1944 in Staten Island, NY)
-Edwin and Edith's children: Edwin Robinson Garbutt Jr. (b. 1898 in Manchester, Lancashire; d. 1975 in Dania, Florida), Walter (b. 1904 in Kingston, Jamaica, W.I.; d. 1987 in New Port Richey, Florida); John William Garbutt (b. 1907 in Kingston, Jamaica, W.I.; d. 1954 in Milford, CT); Harry Garbutt (b. 1910 in Kingston, Jamaica; d. 1911); Arthur G. Garbutt (b. 1915 in Jacksonville, FL; d. 1977 in Massapequa, NY)
We are aware of a connection to the Chapman name (Lottie Chapman?) and would like to find out how they are related, as well as the relation to the Robinsons.
