I am looking for any information regarding my grandmother Margurita garafalo agliano.
She was born in Italy, married Francesco Agliano and moved to America. They had two
children Joseph (born 1914) and Olga (born 1917.
My grandmother died in Philadelphia about 1919.
If anyone has ant information or leads I would greatly appreciate it.

My great grandmother was a Garofalo born in Calabria in either the town of Orsara or Commune di Marzi near the town of Rogliano. Her first name was Roseiaria and everyone in America called her Rose Carnation which I found out four years ago when visiting her birth region in Italy is the tranlation for Garofalo - it means carnation. I do not have a birthdate for her but my guess it was in the early 1880's as her first son, my grandfather, was born in 1900 in the village of Orsara. I don't know anything else about the family she left behind, brothers, sisters? Parent's names? She came to America in 1906 arriving in Florida and then ended up in Seattle, Washington where she and her husband, John Maletta lived until their deaths. Do you have any family that came from the areas I am talking about?

I am doing research for my 82 year old father-in-law whose mom and dad came from Rogliano......Theresa Gabriele/Antonio Garofalo. We are going on vacation tonight to Florida and I will return 2/25 and will be in contact. They came here on different ships at different times with the kids and others were born here. Some Garofalos ended up in Philadelphia....I hope you can help us.
