Looking for information on a Gannon family. Immigrated from co. Sligo, Cloonoghill, Tobercurry, Ireland in 1887 to Chicago.

On the ship’s record – the Devonia - the list is:
Father: James Gannon – age 45
Mother: Mary Jennings Gannon age: 43
Children :
Bernard: Age 18 (born dec, 17, 1864)
Catherine: age 16
Maria: age 14
James: age 13 (Sept. 8th, 1869)
Atty (Attracta): age 12
Winifred: age 10
John: age 8
Anne: Age 7
Julia: age 4 (born June 15th, 1879 or 80)

I have information regarding Bernard Gannon the oldest brother. I know he stayed in Chicago. He was murdered in a high profile case. I have him in the 1900 IL census, in the 9th ward. He married a Bridget Henry, their children were: Mary, Bernard, and Raymond in the census.

My great grandmother was the youngest in the family, Julia. She supposedly stayed in the Chicago area because she was ill. And the rest of the family went back? where? Is the big question? Some say Ireland, some say East coast?

She married Daniel Murray and eventually they resided in Proviso township, (Hillside/Berkeley) IL. D. sept 28, 1938
