NAPLES, FLA. - Walter F. Gancarz, 85, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
Walter was born in Brody, Poland on March 28, 1929.
He came to the United States in 1954 with his wife, Mary.
He was a Machinist his whole life and owned two businesses in the Youngstown, Ohio area prior to his retirement in 1994, when he and his wife relocated to Naples, Florida.
He leaves to cherish is memory his wife, Mary E. (formerly Baines), whom he married in Bradford, England on July 25, 1953; his daughter, Helena Dahman (Wally) of Louisville, Ky.; his son, Karl Gancarz (Ellen Burke) of North Jackson, OH; his daughter, Barbara Mahoney (John) of Douglasville, Ga.; his daughter, Kasia Cusick (David) of Naples; his 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Christine Gancarz, and his son, Stefan V. Gancarz.
Calling hours will be held Monday, June 16, 2014, at Naples Funeral Home, 3107 Davis Blvd., Naples, FL 34104 from 4 to 5 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following
