Hi
I have been reading your message regarding the Gammages in Spratton as I recalled the name very vaguely.
In my mother's family tree (Horn), there was a Henry Horn (d 1749) married to a Mary Horn (d1757 nee unknown, living in Spratton). After Henry died Mary married a "John Gammage of Kettering".
This was discovered by my late uncle when applying for a coat of arms for his family, so unfortunately I cannot verify it personnaly, but the heraldic authorities accepted it.
Don't know if this is of any interest to you or a complete red herring
Regards
