I'm trying to figure out if he is related to my family. He was in the 1860 census in New York-Cayuga County.

Hi, my name is Kristi Gamarel. I come from a very long line of Gamarel's. My grandfather Henry Gamarel died many years ago as did his brother Bernard. My grandmother, Harriet grew up in Brooklyn and when she met my grandfather, they moved to NJ.

Dear Kristi, I am your father's cousin. Please hello to your mom and dad for me. I am excited that you too are trying to find out more about our family. I' ve found out that there are many Gamerels but they are not realated to us. Your grandfather had two cousins in Califoria spelling their name that way. i did find them but no one else. I also found out that there are Gamerils in Canada, but I couldn't get in touch with the person on line. I found Joseph Gamarel who was in the 1860 Federal census index Township of Genoa NY,but I am unable to find out any infoirmation. He must be related to us. Have you found out anything?
