You know, my Aunt said that maybe someone in the family had come from PA and I've often wondered about that. I can't find any solid info on either Sabina or John Joseph Miller prior to finding the baptism of their first child in Columbus in 1869. I know that a lot of Irish and Germans married in PA. I should tell you that one of their daughter Ella's children had a "Walsh" act as a Godmother to one of her children. I found a Kate Gallagher, a tailoress, who lived at 434 S. Third St. per 1878 City Directory. Kate “Kittie” M. Miller, widow of a Frank Miller, lived at 652-654 (S.) Briggs per the 1887-92 Cols. City Directory. This may be important because Lorenz Doersam, father of Sophia Doersam Schneider (George Schneider’s wife), lived at 658 Briggs. Peter Mueller, Jr. a barber, lived at 608 S. Third between 1887-92. (Sabina & Joseph’s son Frank was a barber.) Peter’s shop was at 865 S. Third. John Mueller, a baker, lived at 323 S. Third. James C. Gallagher, probate court clerk, lived at 339 S. Third in 1889-92. These are all "clues" that I've gathered because Sabina lived near these folks around 1890. If any of these names ring a bell, let me know. Thanks.
