Looking for relatives of Joseph GALAMB, b. 1881 in Mako, then Csanad M. now Csongrad M. Hungary. He had several brothers and a sister. As far as I know he was the only immediate family meber to come to the USA. But I find many GALAMBs in the USA at various times - in NJ and PA especially. Are they related to Joseph? Any leads appreciated!

Hello. My name is Colleen Galamb. I am 15 years old and I live in Ohio. My great-grandfather was a JOSEPH GALAMB. He married a RACHEL GALAMB (I am unaware of her maiden name). He had 3 kids that I know of. ALEX, ANNE, and MICHAEL. Michael is my grandfather. He married MARGRET GALAMB. They had 3 kids: Karen Galamb-Forens, Michael Galamb, and Mairbeth Galamb-Zimmer. Michael is my father. He married Janice Galamb and had two kids: Wesley Galamb, and myself, Colleen Galamb. My great-grandfather Joseph may be the same Joseph you are looking for because it would be around the same time period that they lived (1881. This is all I know, but my grandfather's cousin knows all of this history. I will try to get in touch with him and let you know anything else I find out.

Surnames: Galamb, Kerezsi

Colleen:
Here we are in 2004; & I have new information for you ...
I found your Rachel, Anna, and 'Michel' GALAMB in the 1930 Census living in the
household of 'Michel' & Julia KEREZSI and their son 'Michel', Jr.
They are listed as Mother in law, sister in law, and brother in law, respectively; so I would
think that Julia's maiden name would be GALAMB.
They are living in Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH: Enumeration District # 57-43; Sheet # 9B;
Lines # 69 - 74; 735 Falkner Street.
Alex & his family (wife Mary & son Alex) are living in Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH:
E.D. # 57-42; Sheet # 6B; Lines # 60 - 61; 352 Ellison Street.
E-mail me at <westfieldfleck-jhf@comcast.net>; maybe we can exchange
information ... :-) Jeannie (Lucas) Fleck
