Maxine GAHLEY
Maxine GAHLEY, 78 of Parma, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at a Nampa retirement center. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Interment followed at Lower Boise Cemetery, Parma. Maxine was born Feb. 15, 1926 at Rankin, Okla., the daughter of John and Ellis ALDRICH EKBERG. The family came to Idaho in 1938 where she graduated from Parma High School in 1944. Maxine married Ben GAHLEY Oct. 15, 1944 in Boise. Maxine worked for Mangum Beet Dump, Steelsmith and Christensen and later for Lodge Motor Co. and then Del's Flying Service in Homedale. In 1960 she and Ben bought their farm in the Ten Davis Community and she had resided there until recently. Surviving are her daughters and their husbands, Mary and Pat GRIFFIN of Port Angeles, Wash., Susan and Darrell KING of Nampa and Debbie and Allen GEBERT of Parma; one brother, Wilbur EKBERG of Notus; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben GAHLEY, her parents, a sister and a brother-in-law.
