"Minnie" Mae (?Elizabeth) Geoghan m. Andrew Dixon, Baltimore, MD bfr 1908
Folks help is needed,
I have "Minnie" (real name poss. Elizabeth) Mae GEOGHAN or GEOGHEGAN-GAHAGAN, -not! sure of the variation spelling- Minnie lived in Baltimore, Maryland, USA; the birth & death dates are questionable: dates I have (as given by fam. mbrs.) for "Minnie": b. 16 June 1868 & d. 2 Oct. 1989, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. It is more likely "Minnie" was born in 1886 rather than 1868, making her 23 at the birth of her first child in 1909; Minnie married before 1909, Andrew James DIXON, b. 20 Aug 1884, d. 18 Feb. 1937. Another source gives birth as 22 Oct 1889.
According to Andrew James Dixon's WWI Registration Card filed 12 Sept 1918, with "Local Board for the County of Anne Arundel, State of Maryland, No. 1 School St., Annapolis Maryland", he is native born, white, and he gives permanent home address of Linthicum, Maryland, USA; however, underneath his signature he writes Hanover, MD. He gives nearest relative as Elizabeth Dixon, Linthicum, Anne Arundel, Md., relationship is not given, however, it is _most_ likely Elizabeth is his pregnant wife. (His son, Melvin b. 3 mos. after the registration date.) Andrew gives his occupation as Carpernter, employed by Morrow Brothers, Park ___, Columbia Ave., Balto, Md. He is of medium height, medium build, blue eyes, dark hair.
Children: (assumed all born Baltimore, Maryland, USA) Ruth Mae DIXON, b. 26 Jan 1909, d. 05 Oct 1968; Baltimore, Maryland, USA Edna Grace DIXON, b. 31 May 1913, d. 27 Jan 1960, Ft. Lauderdale, Broward Co., Florida, USA; m. 17 Oct. 1932, James Elmer VAIL, Jr., b. 23 Sep 1912, d. 12 Jan 1988, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA; four daughters born to this marriage. Melvin James DIXON, b. 18 Dec 1918, 30 Nov 1987, Baltimore, Maryland, USA
All suggestions or tips welcomed. on this GEOGHEGAN connection, Sue
