I am descended from the Gagens of Kings Lynn, Norfolk - there must be a link. I'd be interested in receiving information you have about Stephen Gaegen. I have a lot of information about our family history. By the way, my brother is a modern-day Stephen Gagen.

Hi, I have Mary Gagen (spelt Gaging in the parish records. She is the daughter of Stephen and Mary and was baptised 13 Oct 1769. Mary married William Girling 22 November 1792. If anyone could give me more info on the family of Stephen I would appreciate it.

Hi
I have Mary's baptism as 30 Sep 1770 from IGI and FreeRegs but she is the daughter of Stephen Gagen (or Gaging as it is spelt) and Mary Bull and married William Girling 22 Nov 1792. Stephen and Mary married 13 Oct 1769 in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire. I haven't been able to trace either of them back further in either Norfolk or Lincolnshire. Mary was their eldest child and after her they had Ann (1772), William (1775-14 Mar 1856), Stephen (1779) and Jemima (1781). My husband, Chris Booty, is directly descended from William and ann Wilkins who married in Foulsham 5 May 1807.
