I just saw your reply to my posting of last year. I had given up on expecting info from this posting and failed to check it after a week or so of no activity. We have been searching for an Elizabeth Gagel in Germany for almost 2 years now. There's a posting on the Ahlborn Family message board by a Marge who I've E-mailed. We know Elizabeth Gagel is my Gr Gr Grandmother and married to a Johann Henry Theodore Ahlborn. We also have info on 2 of her boys (Henry and Fredrick Ahlborn) who came to NY in 1852.
If you have any additional info on Gagel in Germany please let me know. I will post any new info I find.

Deborah, I didn't understand your message. Do you have a family tree for Gagel in Germany? I don't but I'm still working on it. I know she lived in Schney, Germany as a married woman and raised a family in that town. I know nothing of her ancesters. Regards, Carol

Carol: I am more looking for my grandmother's place of birth than than the Gagel's. I AM a GAGEL - purely, but I must also be IRISH, as my mamaw's given name was TERRY. I am interested in finding out about both grand parents, as they raised me - as far as I know, we come from Geiger, Germany, which I know nothing about. From my (short) research, the only citys, towns, I can find are SCHNEY and MICHELAU, Germany. Thank you for responding...maybe someday the connection will be made. God Bless - Deborah

Gagel family in Schney, Germany
Deborah,
Thanks for the quick response.
Based on info and stories passed down by your grandparents, do you know if your Gagel relations in Germany had a porcelain factory? If so do you know where it was located?

response to deborah gagel (10/18)
Debbie,
My husband, Bob has researched our line and has a lot of information. He is still seeking more on the Terry side, but has gone back to early 1800, in Germany for the Gagels. Email me and I can get this information to you.

Gagel's in Dayton Ohio/Germany
I am looking for information on my Great, Great, Great Grandfather, John G. Gagel, who was born in 1832 somewhere in Germany and immigrated to Dayton Ohio some time between then and 1880. I am trying to find out where he immigrated from - anyone seen him in your Germany searches?
