I am researching Asa GAFFIELD b. 11 April 1805 Jericho, Chittenden, VT to Thomas and Mary GAFFIELD, and wife Rachel PINNEO b. 15 Apr 1807 Duxbury Twp., VT they were married in Vermont followed their family to Clark Co., OH . Asa and his brothers Benjamin and Putnam went on to Iroquois Co., IL. Asa was in Iroquois County by 1835. I am interested in sharing information on any Gaffield family.

Yes, Asa has a sister Julia Ann Gaffield who married Alexander Craig. I have no David listed. I have William Henry, George b. 1834, Jane m. Mr. Trust. Children of Geore and Mary L. are William E. b. 1873, Nancy Rosetta b. 1883 d. 1915, Henry b. 1875, Isaac b. 1878 d. 1958, Rosetta b. 1883. As far as I know Thomas came from Massachusetts and Mary may have been from Massachusetts or Vermont.

Hi, this is what I have found, spouse Rachel Pinneo, children, Almira J, Eliza, Amos, John, George, Nancy. Asa's siblings are, John, Nancy, Julia Ann, William, Almira(Minerva), Betsey, Mary, Benjamin, Zadoc, and Lavina. Sorry I have no dates. Do you know where the name Ladu, Lado, Ladue, in the Gaffields came from I am unable to find anything. Thanks

I have a LaDu / Gaffield connection. Clarissa Gaffield , daughter of Jonathan Gaffield & Phebe Ann Hubble, married Stallam or Stalham W. La Du. They are found in the US Federal Census, 1880 as follows:

I have not been able to connect your Gaffield's with my Gaffields. I can't find anything further back than Asa's father Thomas, who was born in MA and went on to Vermont then finally settled in Ohio, if I could break that brick wall we might connect these two lines of Gaffields
