I am struggling to locate parents of Eveline Gadbois b. 1871 in Nicolet Quebec who married Wm Francis Carbonneau in 1901. They would have immigrated about 1890. I can find no parents of her anywhere I look. If you have her in your line could you reply?
Thank youso much

We don't share the same ancestors as in your query, however, I did do some research. We're probably related further up the chain.
There is an Eva Gadbois born in 1951 in Nicolet on the 1881 census. However, census info is not always correct. The Catholic church in Nicolet in 1871 was Saint Jean Baptiste.
I don't think this is the person your are seeking, as you mentioned Eveline and Wm Carbonneau emigrated in 1890 and the above Eva married Pierre Bourgeois in 1892 (in Nicolet).

I researched the actual copies of baptism records of Saint Jean Baptiste for 1971. (French records...getting better since I don't speak nor write French...), I could not find a record of birth in Nicolet for either Eva nor Eveline in 1971. Is there a chance she was born elsewhere? Do you have a copy of the birth certificate?

Hope this helps for info.

I think your Frappiers were from Kingscroft. There is even a Frappier Road there. Eva's parents, according to her marriage record, were Ephrem Frappier and Dorothé Turcotte. I found their marriage, at St Thomas d'Aquin in Compton, March 4, 1862. There was no Catholic church in Kingscroft until 1904, so marriages, baptisms, etc, took place in Compton. Or maybe, sometimes, in other parishes. I could not find Eva's baptism in Compton. You could try Coaticook. The Frappier, Gadbois and Dudevoir families were all interconnected. I am looking for Dudevoir connections.
