Looking for anyone who can direct me to information on the last name of Gad. Have found relatives coming from Bingen, Germany and Cologne , Germany. William Gad was married to Sophie Stroder. THis is as much
information as I can find on these two people. I have where they came from in Germany before coming to the U.S. , but cannot get anything further once they got here or prior to arriving. I do have their only sons name which is Christophe Gaat. For some reason the name Gad, was changed to Gaat for the son. I am told this could have been done mistakenly when they entered the country through immigrations. Mispellings due to language they tell me is common. Please let me know if you can direct me to any places for these two people. William Gad or Sophie STroder. Thank you so much. This is to complete some work for my sister who is ill and not expected to be with us much longer. She thrives on geneology and learning about our past. It is my great hope I can unlock some doors and information to share with her before I lose her. Thank you again for your time and consideration in helping me with this. I am so new to geneology, I need all the help I can get.
