Re: Searching for lost relative
My grandfather Joseph Peter Gacioch was born 19 Aug 1909, Lathrop, PA. Father: Peter Gacioch Mother: Anna Skorensak. That's all I know about them. Grandpa Joe was place in St Vincent Depaul Orphanage (MI I think) when he was bout 4 years old. Always heard it was in Monroe, MI but nothing seems to pan out. Sometime before he married my grandmother Dora Isler Miller 1938/39 the name was change to White. I have always know him as Joseph P. White. Was suppose to have lots of siblings and his parents couldn't take care of them. He died 9 Aug 1973 in Grayling, MI. Any information about his parents or sibling would greatly be appreciated. Re: Searching for lost relative
My great grandfather was Peter Gacioch, he married Anna Skorzewski, and it is believed they had at least 6 children. For whatever reason they were unable to take care of them and the children were split up and raised either in foster homes or orphanages. I am looking for birth and death dates for Peter and Anna, as well as the names of their children.

Re: Searching for lost relative
My grandfather was a son of Peter Gacioch and Anna Skorzewski. His name was Walter Gill (His name was changed from Gacioch to Gill after being adopted). He was adopted out of the St Vincent Depaul orphanage in Detroit around 1915. He was born in 1913 in Warren MI. I believe he had the following siblings but these are not confirmed by any means:
Leo P Gacioch Born about 1891 in Poland Bernice Gacioch Born Jun 21 1907 in Latrobe Pennsylvania Joesph Peter Gacioch Born Aug 13 1909 in Lathrop Pennsylvania
I would also like to know more about the Gacioch history, From what I could find it looks like the name seems to point to a certain area in Poland (Kurpie region, or possibly the town of Ostrołęka?).
Good luck hope I was helpfull, please reply back if you find anything!

Re: Searching for lost relative
Are you the Hank A. Walczyk that has information on the Prusiks of Parciaki, Poland? I am desperately seeking a lead for my husband's family tree as I am doing their genealogy for them. His grandmother, who is still living, is the daughter of a Julia Prusik of Everett, MA who came to America alone between the ages of 14-16, although there is good reason to believe she lied about her age. I think I found her crossing papers and her name was Julianna Prussik (Prusik), daughter of Peter (Piotr), from Parziak (Parciaki) Poland, b. 1896. It is extremely important to me to find information on Julia's lineage before her last living child passes away and cannot enjoy the information. If you are indeed the gentleman I am seeking, I would greatly appreciate any information you can supply.
