Gaasch in USA

I am just wondering if somebody searches for Gaasch persons originally from Germany (especially the Brandenburg line). Not all ancestors of US Gaasch came from Luxembourg, did they?

In my direct ancestorline I have some Gaasch located in Guben, Germany.

GAASCH have not their origins in Germany but only in Luxembourg. All other GAASCH's in the world are immigrants.
I'm living in Luxembourg.

Thank you for replying.

I already had this idea, that my Gaasch ancestors came originally from Luxembourg, but until now I cannot verify this. My Gaasch ancestor lived in Brandenburg/Germany about 1800 and I thought it could be possible that some Gaasch persons emigrated to the USA in the 19th century and then they would have been emmigrants from germany and not Luxembourg.

My greatgrandmother came from Grosbous in the 1890's and settled in Illinois. Her name was Christine Gaasch and she was born 14 Aug 1870. I have just begun to research my family history.

Joannes 1736-1751 is not the father of Joannis 1765-1846 correct? Joannes died 14 years before Joannis was born.

Johannes died 13.10.1791. I'm working on the genealogical tree of the Gaasch's line coming from Saeul/Tuntange. The main part is finished and I'm still putting the informations on a genealogical program. I will send you the tree in 2 or 3 weeks. My great-grandfather Jacques GAASCH and 2 of his brothers had emigrated in the USA in 1855. But only Antoine (b. 3.3.1833 in Saeul/Luxbg)stayed there, but I can't find him in USA.

Liliane,
Thank you so much for the information. I am new at geneology research but anything I find that may help I will send to you. I am attaching a photo of Christine Gaasch Reis (she married Andre Reis from Niederfuelen) holding my father, Daniel Andrew Reis in about 1940.
Sincerely, Christine
