Hi... I have a mystery in my Gaa line. I recently found that there was a Mary Gaa born and/or christened Nov. 12, 1890 in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio. She was the daughter of John Christoph Gaa (1853-1928) and Anna Barbara Bastel Gaa (1855-1916). The record is in the Ohio, Births and Christening Index, 1800-1962, and can be found at https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XD1H-Z41.
She must have died before 1900 because she is not in the 1900 census with the family or in any subsequent records, but I have not found any record of her death. Nor is she in a family photo taken circa 1902. It also doesn't seem possible that this record could refer to either of the Gaa daughters born before or after her - Elizabeth Gaa, born June 9, 1889, and Helen Gaa, born July 15, 1894. It seems likely that her death would have been recorded at St. Peter's Church or possibly St. Francis of Assisi Church, which was established in the early 1890s and counted the John Gaa family among its parishioners. But I don't know how to access those records, if it's possible.
Any clues or suggestions?
