My grandfather, William John Feugarde was born Bessbrook, Co.Armagh in 1870.His parents John Fugard/Olivia Haddock(Haydock)(m)1869 in Newry,Co.Down.He younger sister Olivia came to US in 1890 he changed the family name to Feugarde.I was told it meant fire guard in French the family were Fr.Hugunots.
