Maybe...my mother told stories that she was raised by her father. Her birth date is questionable since I found a marriage cert issued. Maybe she was born sometime between 1920 and 1925

Since I had written this way back, I have now found Hattie's husband's name. It was D. Fred Friese b: 1863 and d: Feb 25, 1938 Holyoke, MA per the SSDI.
Maybe this will help someone else out.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation New Dawn.

Pfc. Robert M. Friese, 21, of Chesterfield, Mich., died April 29 in Al Qadisiyah province, Iraq, of injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with a rocket propelled grenade. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.

I always think that I want my facts to be more perfect, but I can send what I have and clearly state that it is subject to correction. Also, I saw your post about a picture of Ethel Friese, did she have a brother, Lester? I found a picture of Ethel & Lester Friese, but have no idea how they are related to Ida Friese Greuel. Do you know?

Henry C. Friese was my great grandfather and his daughter, Martha Melinda Friese Moore was my grandmother. I would be more than happy to share information. My Henry C. Friese was b. 10-20-1839 in MO and died 2-11-1912 in MO. He married Mary Elizabeth Rader July 23, 1865. She passed after he did. I do not know if he was married previously, so I really can't answer your question. If you think my information might help you get back to me.

Photo's attached of some of Augustus Friese family. Augustus (b~1832) and Catherine Friese (b~1850) both born in Germany. Settled in English River, Washington County Iowa for a while in the late 1880's i think. After Augustus died, wife Catherine and 4 of her sons (maybe more) moved to King County, Washington about 1910 perhaps.
My ancestor line were their neighbors in Iowa and must have been good friends, as the old photo album i have of cabinet cards had 2 from this family.
Attached: 1 photo of Catherine, sons Leo Phillox, Albert George, and Fred J FRIESE. 2nd photo is of Henry FRIESE (another son of Catherine).
Both photo's are from about 1905 i think (give or take a few years).

Am looking for information about ancestors or siblings of Ludvig Friese (1819 to 1900) who married Wilhelmina Singler or Zenglar or Singer (1825 to 1894). They lived in Winona, Minnesota for some time. Their son August Heinrich Friese (1852 to 1927) was my great grandfather. I know nothing about anyone prior to Ludvig. Have a photo I would like to share to see if anyone recognizes them. Family lore says that August came from Stettin, Germany. I have pretty extensive information about families of all their children, but not their ancestors.

Am wondering if your Ludwig Friese is possibly the father of my Ida Friese who married Christreich Greuel and lived in Leonard, ND and is buried in Bethel Moravian Church Cemetery, Leonard, Cass Co.,ND? What little information I have is that Ida was the only daughter of 6 children of a Ludwig & Wilamina Friese, sons are August, Frank, Henry, Otto, and Albert.
Also, I have a picture of a Frank & Gertie Friese.
