John Davis Fricks (1840-1906) m. Harriett Elizabeth Newberry (1849-1926). He was a s/o Lewis Fricks and Elizabeth Vice. She was a d/o J. Earl Newberry and Mary J. Willis. They settled in Cherokee Co., NC and had at least six children: 1. James W. Fricks m. Alice Viola Dockery; 2. Sally Lula Jane Fricks m. Alvin Winfield Dockery; 3. J. Lewis Fricks; 4. Ruth Elizabeth Vice Fricks m. Jacob M. Dockery; 5. Mary Alice Pyerilla Fricks m. Joseph Columbus Allen; 6. John Francis Fricks m(1) Martha Cornwell, m(2) Fannie Edna Dockery.
