This Indenture made the twenty ninth day of
March in the year one thousand eight Hundred and fifty four Between Joshua
Fredenburgh of the Town of Pamelia in the County of Jefferson and the State of New York
of the first part and George Wilkey Jr of the Town of Le Ray County aforesaid
of the second part Witnessith that the said party of the first part in consideration
of the sum of one thousand----five hundred and fifty Dollars lawful money
of the United States of America paid to him by the said party of the second part
??? receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained sold released
and confirmed and by these presents does grant bargain sell release and con-
firm to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns All that piece or
parcel of land Situated in the Town of Pamelia in the County of Jefferson
and is part of lot 516 x 523 an is bounded as follows (viz) Beginning in the centre
of the Road N 30 E 13 chs 34 lks from the most Easterly corner of the Goodrich
farm now Enoch Eddy at a stake cornered and marked J. M.C. & P.O. thence S.
54 E 33 chs along the north line of lands Deeded to Pierce & Ely to a stake 4 lks
N.W. of a Maple sapling Cornered and Marked P.O. Thence N 36 E 13 chs 34
lks to a stake 8 lks N.W. of a Basswood tree cornered and Marked J.M.C.
Thence N 54 38 chs 10 lks to the centre of the Road thence along said Road
S 36 W 13 chs 34 lks to the place of Beginning containing fifty acres and 82/100 of
an acre of land as surveyed by Musgrove Evans Subject to a Mortgage Executed
?? The Commissioners for Loaning to United States Deposit fund of one hundred
and twenty five Dollars Together with the hereditaments and appurtenances and
all the estate right little and interest of the said party of the first part of in or
to the same and the pro??? and remainders thereof To have and to hold
all and singular the said premises hereby granted to the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns to the proper use of the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns forever Subject to the conditions and stipulations
contained in the Letters Patent whereby the lands were originally granted and
the said party of the first part does hereby for himself heirs executors and
administrators covenant with the said party of the second part his heirs
and assigns that he the said party of the first part immediately before
the ensealing and delivery hereof was seized of the premises of an estate in
fee simple therein Also that he has power to sell and convey the same
as hereby intended Also that the said party of the second part his heirs
and assigns shall quietly and peaceably hold and enjoy the same Also that
the same is free from all incumbrances And the said party of the first part
and his heirs the said premises to the said party of the second part and his heirs
against all persons does and will Warrant and Defend forever by these presents

Sealed and Delivered in presence of Jefferson County SS On this 29th day
of March 1854 before me personally appeared Joshua Fredenburgh to me
known to be the same person described in and who executed the above Deed
and acknowledged the execution of the same James Jones Justice of the Peace
