I'm looking for information on the family of Christopher Fredenburgh, supposed to have been born about 1769, possibly in Columbia County, NY. His son Peter Fredenburgh lived in Stephentown in neighboring Rensselaer County. (Peter's will was written in the name of "Fradenburgh".) Though he lived in Stephentown, Peter (1792-1856) and his wife Elizabeth were buried back in Columbia County--perhaps they had come from there. Peter had a son, John B. Fredenburgh. Peter's will gave John's address in Stephentown, but another source says John lived in Old Chatham, Columbia County. Peter's will also mentions a daughter, Sarah Fredenburgh Beers (1822-1857). She is buried in Stephentown. If anyone has any background on Christopher Fredenburgh, I'd appreciate some help. (I'm assuming it was spelled "Fredenburgh," but it could have been Vredenburgh or Vradenburgh, or Fradenburgh.)
