hi! i found ur query in the message board. i have been in contact with my dear friend for years. i have been working for her on and off on the vredenburg family of new york city, westchester county and ulster county. i picked garrett (gerrit) vredenburg as the possible lineage found in the 1820 new paltz census. stuck with cornelius vredenburg who was born between 1805 and 1810 in ny, more likely in the new paltz area. cornelius gave "g" (gerrit?) his middle name. glad to share the family of cornelius g. vredenburg. curious which child of gerrit (garrett) vredenburg are u descended from? peggy (my friend)is descended from cornelius and his wife, mary ann, through their daughter, cornelia roseltha vredenburg, wife of seth c. newcomb. thanks so much for the help. happy new year! ... darrow little of south gate, california. e-mail:
