Mrs. Carrie B. Fraley of Huntington, W. VA, died Monday, May 23, 1983 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dean (Vera) Barrett of Huntington.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 26 at Chapman's Mortuary, by Rev. Warren G. Faulkner. Burial was in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
Mrs. Fraley was born in Elliott County, KY, Sept. 18, 1888, a daughter of the late George K. and Surrilda McDowell Nickell. She was a member of the Nineth Avenue United Methodist Church.
She is preceeded in death by her husband, Cecil D. Fraley on Nov. 17, 1960; by three sons, Paul, Silas, and Edwin, and two daughters, Leah Hivon and Irene Gilliam.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Clara) Stout of Fairfield, Calif., Mrs. Keith (Wilma) Cole of Glendale, Arizona, and Mrs. Milton (Odella) Evans of Huntington; 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren. Six of her grandsons were pallbearers. They were Jack Fraley, J. C. Fraley, Phillip Evans, Charles Barrett, Ralph Road, and Russell Irby.
