Lewis P. Fraker

PATASKALA: Lewis P. Fraker, age 75, of Pataskala, Ohio (Licking County) passed
away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Columbus, OHIO on June 2, 1938, the son of Raymond Eugene and Helen (Headley) Fraker, who preceded him in death.

Lewis is survived by his beloved wife, Betty F. (Wantland) Fraker, of the residence; his three children, Rodney Fraker, Christine and husband, Jerry Gray, Todd and wife, Bobbi Fraker, all of Pataskala; two sisters, Donna Jean and husband, Donald Stagg, of Pataskala, Jeri Westfall, of FL.
He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Lewis was a retired rural letter carrier with the United States Postal Service. He was a member of Pataskala Lodge #404 F.& A.M., and the Pataskala Lions Club where he was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.
Lewis was affiliated with the Pataskala Presbyterian Church and was formerly active with the Cub Scouts.
Among his most distinguished accomplishments was his being the recipient of the Pataskala Service to Mankind Award.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Pataskala with Pastor Dennis Whitt officiating.
Interment followed in Pataskala Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home Friday, October 4, 2013. Masonic and Lions Club services were held on Friday evening.

My 2nd great grandfather, Valentine Taylor, was Melvina Taylor Fraker's brother. Melvina's husband, George Washington Fraker, was the brother of Valentine's first wife, Susan Fraker, who supposedly died in 1849 at the age of 26, although she appears on the 1850 census, which is strange. They had three children. Valentine then married my 2nd great grandmother, Angeline Tapp, in 1854 and had six children. Their son, John Marshall Taylor, was my great grandfather. Valentine was a blacksmith for the Missouri Home Guard during the Civil War and I have photos of his gravestone. Not all of the dates are documented as some of it came from other distant relatives. I've been trying for years to learn more information about Valentine, who his parents and siblings were, where they came from, etc. I would greatly appreciate any information you may have as my dad and his remaining sisters have always wanted to know more about him. Thank you for any information you might have.

I went to rootsweb and saw the hill/fraker info, but Dora Mae's maiden name was Monroe. She married a Hill first, Jim Tilson was second spouse.

She was married to a hill before she married James Ransom Tilson. Dora Mae Monroe and James Ransom Tilson were my paternal grandparents. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks a bunch, Lola Harbin

Ref. James A Fraker born KS1871. Lived CO 1916 to about 1966. Mother was Elizabeth Hornbeck Fraker a desendant of Warnaar Hornbeck born about 1640. You now can trace Warnaar's ancestry by bringing up Jansen - Hornbeck on Google. Look for referance saying "Jansen girls ancestry in Holland". This will give you a web page that has Warnaars ancestry to about 1250 AD in Belgum (11 generations and inlaws inc). Have a good day cousins (James Fraker was my great uncle).

BARRINGTON - Albert T. Fraker, 77, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 8, 2005) at his home.

He was born July 21, 1928, the son of the late Howard F. and Marion Fraker.

Albert was a dairy farmer in Prattsburgh and Penn Yan, and he was a vinyardist.

I am a Fraker descendant, also looking for our line as far back as possible. I am just beginning my search. I would like to see what you have, and compare. I have recently had a child, and was given our Fraker family *book* to do myself. It is a big book with the Fraker name on it, completely blank of writing, it is a very long project, but would be so fullfilling to find more history.

Mary Fraker married Wm Brundridge. Do you have information on their date of death and place of burial. The best I can tell they spent a good part of their lives in Dallas county in Jackson.
I think Wm died about 1915 and that Mary died between 1910-1920.
According to the census record she had 11 children only 9 living in 1910.

Harry L Fraker of Knox County Indiana was killed January 24, 1945, in the South Pacific during World War II. He is buried in the Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines. We are seeking information regarding his military and civilian life and especially find the family members and offer them free photos of his grave site and the memorial..

We are seeking family and military information about servicemen from your county killed in the South Pacific during World War II. There are 17,206 Americans buried here and thousands more that are missing or buried at sea and are honored on the “Tablets of the Missing”. We have been taking photographs of the graves of the Indiana servicemen buried here and have been uniting them (at no charge) with their family members in Indiana and across the United States. To receive the photo of your family member, neighbor or friend all you need is a working email address. We do not send them to regular mailing addresses due to the costs. Please help us find the families of the men that might still be living. Our project is only successful because of teamwork and your contributions are noted on our website. If you wish to help us we will be pleased to add your name to our ACKNOWLEDGMENT page on the website. The obituaries usually did not appear till to three months after the death date.

If you are not a genealogist you can help by just picking up the telephone directory and find someone with the same last name and give them a call. It has worked many times for us.

My great-grandfather is John Acey Fraker. He would be the younger brother of Etta May. I have information on all the brothers and sisters. I need the adoption information. Etta May and John were adopted by Captain Muller. The only thing I have on George Washington Fraker and Emma Jane Brain is the their death dates, 1887 and 1889 census in Seattle.

If I remember correctly, Joseph was buried in the Old Catholic Cemetery in Martinsville, Morgan Co, IN in 1874.

Incidentally, the Peter Miller family was on the 1850 Blue River Twp, Johnson Co, IN Census.

Here is my Mother's genealogy as far as I know so far. My GGGGgrandparents were George and Elizabeth Peck Bishop. I knew the parents of Elizabeth were Corad and Catherine Peck. I've recently learned that the father of Catherine was Israel Friend. Conrad Peck1 and Catherine Friend Peck were among some of the first settlers in Bedford County, PA. (now Fulton Co.). They had lost much, including children, to Indian attacks. They were some of the Founders of Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church in 1752. Early Church members had to have Sentries posted at the doors in case of attack. Israel Friend is my GGGGGGgrandfather. My other GGGGGGgrandfather is the Rev. Joseph Powell, 1st. Pastor of Tonoloway Church from 1765 until his death in 1804. Rev. Joseph Powell and Rachel rose Powell were the parents of Mary, who married Jacob Bishop. They were the parents of George Bishop. I have a picture of Joseph Dine taken June 14, 1893.
Joseph is the son of Peter Dine & Mary Jane Fricker [ Fraker ]. He married Ida Walker.
I also have a photo of Gertrude [Gerttie] May Dine. She married a Richart. She was born in 1900 in Indiana.

I know Etta Fraker Wimer is probably a gggrandmother to
me but how she is related I do not know. I need to get
to Ohio to research this family. If you have anything you
