Albert M. Fracasso Albert M. Fracasso 4/10/2008 - IRVING — Albert M. Fracasso, 83, of Irving, NY, formerly of Silver Creek, died Sunday (April 6, 2008) at the Lake Shore Nursing Home in Irving.
He was born May 22, 1924 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Rocco and Louise (Guglielmo) Fracasso.
Al had been a school bus driver at Silver Creek Central School, after which he became a truck driver for AL Tech in Dunkirk until his retirement. He belonged to the Teamsters Local No. 449 in Buffalo, Dunkirk Moose Lodge No. 89 and the Chautauqua Italian American Organization.
He enjoyed puzzles and reminiscing about his life with friends and family.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Laurie Schwab of Eden; two stepsons, Rob (Bonnie) Matteson of Forestville and Richard Matteson of Buford, GA; five grandchildren, Sarah Schwab, Julie Rice, Aubrey Matteson, Jaimee Matteson and Kyle Matteson; two great grandchildren, Andrew Rice and Autumn Rice; one niece, Mary Brown; and one nephew, Richard Fracasso. Also survived by other family members Sue Matteson and Renya Hawk.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann (Frank) Fracasso; three brothers, Michael, Rocco and George; and two sisters, Nina Fracasso and Florence Grasso.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008, at 9:30 AM from St. Columban’s on the Lake Chapel, Silver Creek. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Columban’s on the Lake. Arrangements are by the Hole-Parker Funeral Home, Silver Creek.
