Do you happen to know what it means in Italiano? I have been told many different things and am curious to it's meaning. I have heard that in Spanish "Fracaso" with only one "F" means failure. Geez, I sure hope it means something much nicer in Italiano.
Thanks in advance

My son has a teacher who's mother is from the old country, and she says that "casso" means house, but she doesn't know what the "Fra" represents. I also have a nun that is Italian who also teachers Italian at my daughter's school looking into it for me. Hopefully she can help. I'll let you know what I find out. Donna

My children were born John, Vincent and Julie Fracasso children of John Glenn Fracasso who is son of Paul Edward Fracasso SR and Shirley Ann (Suggs)Fracasso. Paul Fracasso is son of Lena Fracasso and Anthony Dericko Fracasso...not sure on spelling of Dericko.
Lena and Anthony apparently came from Sicily and lived in New York before moving to California. Anthony had several brothers and sisters including a set of sibling twin sisters. Anyone with any information, please contact,

Hi, I have been trying to find my husbands grandfather Eugenio Gautieri who settled in Providence RI. In 1909 he was living in NJ. I found a Eugenio Gaudieri living in Jersey City in the 1910 Census. He was marred to a Francesca FRACASSO and a step son Antonio FRACASSO. He had been married to my husbands grandmother Felicita Cristofaro. I notice there are a lot of FRACASSO's born in Providence RI. One was a son Antonio to parents Tomaso Fracasso and Fracasso. I am hoping to track down this branch of the Fracasso family. Thanks for reading all of this.

I am a Fracasso. We live in Utah just outside of Salt Lake city. My husband Leandro Fracasso moved from Brazil to the United states in 1992. His father's parents moved from Italy to Brazil before his father was born. I have had a vey difficult time finding any information on the Fracasso family. My husband's father's name was Albino Fracasso Filho. Leandro's brother lives in St. Cloud Florida he is also an immagrant from Brazil. I hope this helps....I would love if you have any information for me. Maybe we can communicate and help eachother.

William, I'm researching a friend's line with Fracasso in it. Fracasso is Catherine Perise's mother's birth name and she immigrated to the US in about 1909, settling in Torrington. Catherine's husband Joseph Vestali was from Vicenza, Italy, according to his death certificate. It would make sense if Catherine was from the same area. Catherine's father was Giovanni Perise and her mother's name was Paulda Fracasso.

I see from my searches that "fracasso" means a din or a fracas, by the way. I hope some of this might help your research. Reading your post has helped mine.

Thanks,
Noreen
